| The 8th Biennial Play Therapy Conference The World Needs More Play is presented by the University of Wyoming Rocky Mountain Center of Play Therapy Studies, one of only a few approved U.S. centers for play therapy education through the Association for Play Therapy, APT Approved Provider 10-288. Every other year, 200 mental health professionals, school counselors, social workers, and early childhood teachers are welcomed to the Play Therapy Conference at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. The hands-on conference includes intensive workshops from renowned experts in play therapy. You can earn up to 24 CEU’s for participating in the entire conference. He is the Co-Director of the Center for the Study of Stress, Trauma, and Resilience, a Licensed Psychologist, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Lilly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist specializing in Jungian Analytical Play Therapy. Throughout his presentation, participants will explore the deeper meaning of the child’s play as related to their core issues. A theoretical core will be established from which we can understand the child’s symptoms in relationship to how the child has processed her experiences. The dynamic relationship between the child’s conscious behavior and her deeper, unconscious formulation of complex related material will be presented. This clinical approach emphasizes the use of symbols in the work of children and crosses into both cultural and pan-cultural uses uses of symbols. Learn more.
