Wyoming Constitutional references:  (Sometimes helpful to reference when contacting legislators)

Article 1, Section 2 of the Wyoming Constitution, Equality of all. In their inherent right to life, liberty and the

pursuit of happiness, all members of the human race are equal. (In communications, one could say, “This legislation does not speak to the spirit of this constitutional protection.”)

Article 1, Section 3 of the Wyoming Constitution, Equal political rights. Since equality in the enjoyment of natural and civil rights is only made sure through political equality, the laws of this state affecting the political rights and privileges of its citizens shall be without distinction of race, color, sex, or any circumstance or condition whatsoever other than individual incompetency, or unworthiness duly ascertained by a court of competent jurisdiction. (In communications, one could say, “This legislation does not speak to the spirit of this constitutional protection.”)

Section 37 of the Wyoming Constitution. Constitution of United States supreme law of land. The State of Wyoming is an inseparable part of the federal union, and the constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land. (Certain proposed legislation raises Federal constitutionality issues.)

Additionally, the U.S. Constitution, in Article 4, Section 1, dictates that “Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts  . . . . . of every other State.”  (This ensures that states respect the court orders and laws of other states, even if they do not mirror their own.)
